Bringing Digital Film to the Algorand Blockchain. The PIFF Filmmakers Lounge is a place to discuss and raise ideas and funds to produce independent storytelling.
Ok, sorry for the delay in posting here! Lots of machine things happening. So, DEV BUY... we see this below. What does that mean to the community? We had done this to demonstrate (we are live every 1st Friday of the month demonstrating why Algorand FYI) and explain how to set up Pera and make a buy/sell happen. Does the community not want to see this? Should we sell it? We did it with 1 Algo so as to not move the needle much. Don't forget, we are very much available on X @PHILAINDIE for any input/output 24/7. Thanks again for the feedback to date. Hope to see you all soon and don't forget - support Independent Story Tellers engage Algorand!

W'll be live in the studios February 7th, here in Philadelphia, discussing PIFF coin. We'll be walking people through the process of opening a Pera Wallet as well as why we chose Algorand as the blockchain of choice and its first film based crypto. Join us from 7-11PM. Open Screenings from 8ish - 11PM. Th elixir bar is open.
Update: We're now in discussion @Philaindie and @betalab on Twitter. @Philaindie on Instagram.
We're working on a new and updated website at PIFFfilms.tv We will have a full statement on PIFF coin there soon. In the meantime, we are on Twitter and Reddit for any pressing questions or comments. Thanks for the support!
How long have we been in the Algorand community? August of 2019. We have been going strong ever since. We are on the Reddit Channels and have lurked the Discord Channels for some time. We are more lurkers than chatters we admit. We are really only just popping up but the Pandemic hit the film communities pretty hard and we are confident with our strategy to have launched. There's a reason why we did not take corporate or individual sponsorship, so we can remain true to our roots and work direct to the community. So you all can tlak to the people who are behind the coin. We have been on Twitter/X for some time @Philaindie since January 2000 and @betalab since March 2009. We have always brought creative and tech to the discussion and feel Algorand was the best Blockchain to do this.

How long have you been in the Algorand community? If you are serious about launching this token then I would recommend engaging with us on X. Join a couple spaces and talk about yourselves. Also check out the discord channels out there. Legit projects have a higher bar than any of these shit coins that launch on this platform. It will most definitely stall without any marketing/hype or clear purpose. I love the idea of potentially on boarding new people to Algorand or the reverse of exposing people to indie films!
We have channels. We have built channels in the past. We have used different platforms to do this. It's been 18 years since we launched our first festival. We are a unique and Independent film festival that is cranking up the community to write and produce films. With COVID and other scenarios making that incredibly difficult, as longtime crypto advocates, we wanted to go direct to the people. We're working on devising a way to democratize film festivals. This is part of that strategy. Thanks for the comments!

They have the same amount they bought at launch wym
We don't need a token to do that just set up a channel
I was replying to the guy who bought 6.6% not you guys, chill chill chill
No yelling on this board. We're here to communicate. Posturing? We're online for years, check the internet and our discussions. We're here to tell stories, make films and provide for a community. We chose Algorand because it's the best blockchain for our needs and has a history of DIY.

You think theyβre seeing it out with 6%?
No chance. Heβs saving it to jest at a higher percentage. Famous for it, look at his previously claimed.. he doesnβt hold that much at bonding ever but good luck ππ»
Project seems totally legit - no need to panic about someone holding 6%
NSFW waiting to dump hard as usual
Fory with that 8%, good luck everyone
Ok thanks.

Can you expand a bit more on the Lounge idea? is this going to be a Website? Discord? Telegram?
No problem and thanks for asking. We're here to create, not the opposite and are happy work with the community. Lot going on around here. Any other input, let us know.

Awesome, Thank you! As you can see many are wary around this site. Just need a little verification to calm their nerves. Good Luck!

Pulling a name from a website is not proof that you are connected to that organization. What I mean to ask is can you post on the twitter account or even setup a page on the website to show that this is not a scam? or are you asking us just to trust your word?
Happy to provide proof, The founder is Benjamin F. Barnett. Google the name to see the connection to PIFF. Hope that helps!

Can you provide any proof that you are connected to the website or twitter account?
Thanks to the first adopters! We're here to bring film to the great Algorand Blockchain. Our festival has been running for 18 years and we have no corporate sponsors. This might change, truthfully, but so far, it has not. So here we are! Any questions about film and the digital medium, let us know.
