Bringing Digital Film to the Algorand Blockchain. The PIFF Filmmakers Lounge is a place to discuss and raise ideas and funds to produce independent storytelling.
Let's bond
Thank you for reaching out. We are in the #uff (underground film forum) tomorrow night live. 8-10pm. We'll be discussing PIFF #19 and Filmmakers Lounge PIFF Coin. @Philaindie or DM for more..
>>3140751190>>3140751190 Great question. Here's a quick thought from our end... Did paper distort a story tellers view? Did the typewriter mess with how stories were thought about? Or did these breakthroughs open up new ways for the thinker to express themselves they already had inside of them? What about people who have never had these options? How AI is used is as important as what you are doing with it. AI will always seek the known, but unfound...
Digital storytelling and DIY film work. With the capabilities of modern video editting software, the capabilities of digital cameras, the coginitive load is lessened and creativity opened. Stages higher in 3d modeling and animation make for amazing opportunities to practice with shorts in this artform. AI brings a human v. Machine element, even to storytelling. We understand the nuisances of emotion beyond predictive algorithm. But as AI and algoritms alter the human experince, will it also spill into our storytelling? Has it already?
The good times are rolling. Let's keep the discussion going. In discussion on digital storytelling. What is it? Why is it important to support Independent voices? What voices do we support (all on Algo)? Why Algorand for this project? Join us on X. Ask us anything.
We're almost there guys...
Let's keep moving π
We can move this to 100% by supporting each other
Let's move it to bootstrap...ππ
FYI ~ Dev Buy. Comments on X please! TY!
Great vibes keep coming. Incredible to discuss Algorand and storytelling. Looking forward to the now ongoing live discussion, August 1st Friday, in the studios. Currently discussing Algorand and the Creative community. Visit us at pifffilms.tv @philaindie @betalab
All about good vibes. We also want feedback on how to create the best space for filmmaker's on Algorand. We see a lack of presence and community when it comes to filmmakers and film in general We're here to help facilitate that. Visit us at mediabureau.com and pifffilms.tv for more on us. We've been on X @Philaindie since Janaury, 2010. @Betalab since around then.
Bring back the good vibes
Yes, we have every intention to do so. 100%. We intend to be here for a long time. We already have been.
Dev do you have intention of bonding this project
Thank you for asking. We have posted more on our X accunt @Philaindie.

Hi folks, sorry but if you are here to dump on PIFF Coin, move on please. If you are here to create, then we support that no matter the outcome for PIFF COIN. We have goals here and bringing filmmaking to Algorand is it. Once this COIN Bonds, then it's all about freedom of choice, But if you are here to manipulate and grab quick gains, find another project. We are working OT bringing Algorand to the city of Philadlephia as well as the film community. Join us. We'll see you at the ONLY Algorand meetup the city has ever had. Help us prove Algorand supports the creative community. Dev buys this week will continue in small increments to support longterm community goals. See our X or Threads accounts for ongoing transparency. Thank you!
PIFF coin meet up during 1st Friday is on and we are ager to discuss all of your ideas. Here are a few we are currently working on: PIFF Alumni Portal, Vaulting, Wallet Drops for storytellers and more! Let's get bonded and bring Storytelling to Algorand! Thank you all for the ongoing feedback as we move forward. Let's bring Digital Storytelling and creation to Algorand.
Check X (@Philaindie) for our monthly meet up details and to post comments.
FYI ~ Dev Buy. Comments on X please! TY!
Posted: For now, PIFF winners will "not" receive PIFF Coin. This favors the institution to pick winners, etc, to enable the coin. Death by perception. Hmmm. Tokens will be pooled to enable an alumni portal. TBD ty
Thanks for the feedback everyone. We are working a lot behind the scenes. We are updating community information and ideas shortly. In a time when funding and ideas are being siloed, PIFF COIN is here to bridge that gap. We are also preparing to provide winners at the film festival with a coin drop and/or a central repository where filmmakers can draw from a pool. What does this look like? How many? We are in discussion now. Join us at our regular Algorand meetup (the only one in the Philadelphia area) monthly in the studios. Meet the team and more. Thank you!
We want too thank everyone for attending PIFF #18 during Philly Tech Week. It was a great 4 days of film and technology like the city has never experienced! We are excited to compile the input and update PIFF Coin with your notes. Let's get this coin bonded and loaded to Vestige now and support the Independent Storyteller townsquare of ideas! We're back monthly on 1st Friday and will be all over the city. Ask us about it.
Will be at the Algorand meetup this Friday evening, 8-11 PM. 941 N Front Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
We're live in the Filmmaker's Lounge. Open screenings Comedy/Horror/Drama. Discussing PIFF Coin, Why Algorand? Screening during PhillyTechWeek #uff
Update: We have been working on the Filmmakers Lounge PIFF Coin ecosystem the past few days. This includes filmmaking verticles including original scripts, original scoring/foley, original FX, original film, and community building pool.
Ok, sorry for the delay in posting here! Lots of machine things happening. So, DEV BUY... we see this below. What does that mean to the community? We had done this to demonstrate (we are live every 1st Friday of the month demonstrating why Algorand FYI) and explain how to set up Pera and make a buy/sell happen. Does the community not want to see this? Should we sell it? We did it with 1 Algo so as to not move the needle much. Don't forget, we are very much available on X @PHILAINDIE for any input/output 24/7. Thanks again for the feedback to date. Hope to see you all soon and don't forget - support Independent Story Tellers engage Algorand!

We'll be walking people through the process of opening a Pera Wallet as well as why we chose Algorand as the blockchain of choice and its first film based crypto. Join us from 7-11PM. Open Screenings from 8ish - 11PM. Th elixir bar is open.
Update: We're now in discussion @Philaindie and @betalab on Twitter. @Philaindie on Instagram.
We're working on a new and updated website at PIFFfilms.tv We will have a full statement on PIFF coin there soon. In the meantime, we are on Twitter and Reddit for any pressing questions or comments. Thanks for the support!
How long have we been in the Algorand community? August of 2019. We have been going strong ever since. We are on the Reddit Channels and have lurked the Discord Channels for some time. We are more lurkers than chatters we admit. We are really only just popping up but the Pandemic hit the film communities pretty hard and we are confident with our strategy to have launched. There's a reason why we did not take corporate or individual sponsorship, so we can remain true to our roots and work direct to the community. So you all can tlak to the people who are behind the coin. We have been on Twitter/X for some time @Philaindie since January 2000 and @betalab since March 2009. We have always brought creative and tech to the discussion and feel Algorand was the best Blockchain to do this.

How long have you been in the Algorand community? If you are serious about launching this token then I would recommend engaging with us on X. Join a couple spaces and talk about yourselves. Also check out the discord channels out there. Legit projects have a higher bar than any of these shit coins that launch on this platform. It will most definitely stall without any marketing/hype or clear purpose. I love the idea of potentially on boarding new people to Algorand or the reverse of exposing people to indie films!
We have channels. We have built channels in the past. We have used different platforms to do this. It's been 18 years since we launched our first festival. We are a unique and Independent film festival that is cranking up the community to write and produce films. With COVID and other scenarios making that incredibly difficult, as longtime crypto advocates, we wanted to go direct to the people. We're working on devising a way to democratize film festivals. This is part of that strategy. Thanks for the comments!

They have the same amount they bought at launch wym
We don't need a token to do that just set up a channel
I was replying to the guy who bought 6.6% not you guys, chill chill chill
No yelling on this board. We're here to communicate. Posturing? We're online for years, check the internet and our discussions. We're here to tell stories, make films and provide for a community. We chose Algorand because it's the best blockchain for our needs and has a history of DIY.

You think theyβre seeing it out with 6%?
No chance. Heβs saving it to jest at a higher percentage. Famous for it, look at his previously claimed.. he doesnβt hold that much at bonding ever but good luck ππ»
Project seems totally legit - no need to panic about someone holding 6%
